I am a senior renewable gas analyst at Veyt, where I cover renewable gas and power markets, and lead on hydrogen. I am responsible for the hydrogen database, covering market trends, production, certification, and policy changes that are driving the industry. In my view, hydrogen is one to watch, as it starts to take a bigger role in the global energy mix. Furthermore, the EU has a strong decarbonisation commitment for hard-to-abate sectors and shipping, for which hydrogen is essential.

Hydrogen is the obvious replacement for fossil fuels in a number of key decarbonisation target areas. Accurate data and actionable insights will be key for market players and decision makers as they seek to scale up its use. My role requires me to combine my knowledge of electricity markets and hydrogen to produce analysis, forecasts and actionable insights for our clients.

I started working in renewable energy as a market advisor and later as a research assistant in electricity markets in Thailand and Norway, as well as analysing biofuels produced from the pulp and paper industry. My master's degree was in environmental management at the University of Oxford and I am currently completing a PHD in transactive energy and energy transition at the University of Surrey.
